A complete set of Wehrmacht Windschutzbrille (wind protection goggles), consisting of a rubber face mask with non magnetic metal eyepieces retaining intact glass lenses, flanked on each side by a loop which secures in place an original elasticized strap adjusted with a functional non magnetic metal buckle, the obverse marked AUER for the later trade name of Berlin based firm Degea, accompanied by an intact set of

A complete set of Wehrmacht Windschutzbrille (wind protection goggles), consisting of a rubber face mask with non-magnetic metal eyepieces retaining intact glass lenses, flanked on each side by a loop which secures in place an original elasticized strap adjusted with a functional non-magnetic metal buckle, the obverse marked “AUER” for the later-trade name of Berlin-based firm Degea, accompanied by an intact set of replacement lenses secreted within an original field-grey rayon-blended pouch, in turn contained within a matching storage case, constructed of aluminum, the lis riveted with a plate bearing a “DEGEA” logo with model and serial numbers, in addition to a manufacture date of “1937”, opening with a functional hinge to reveal an interior with defined compartments for both the goggles and replacement lenses, with a metal plate riveted to the interior of the lid featuring a checklist for components, the goggles demonstrate minor and age-appropriate material fatigue to the rubber underlay and the case is missing a cleaning cloth and replacement strap as per the list detailed on the lid, a matching set in overall near extremely fine condition.
